Launch of the Youth Provision in Stockton on Tees 5 year Strategy

Youth United Stockton-on-Tees Alliance (YUSA) is a collective of key partners who have come together to form an alliance to support the sustainability of detached youth work and high-quality open access youth provision across Stockton.  YUSA is an evolving partnership that has advanced and grown since key youth providers across Stockton formed a collaboration in 2016, with significant support from Stockton Borough Council, to ensure that there is targeted and focused interventions to support children and young people within youth settings.

As YUSA has developed in recent times, the Alliance identified that due to the changing landscape of youth work and the issues that children and young people face in society today, there required a long-term, high-level vision and strategy, to ensure that there is a sustainable approach to positively impact on the lives of children and young people so that they can all achieve their ambition, regardless of their backgrounds.

The strategy was launched in September 2023 and has already received significant support at a local, sub-regional, regional and national level. The Alliance are now looking to build on this momentum and continue to work with all partners such as community groups, schools, Police, NHS and businesses, etc to achieve its objectives of improving outcomes for children and young people, building capacity within the sector and aiding the sustained development of high-quality youth provision.

The Alliance wants the very best start in life for children and young people and would welcome working with everyone involved in supporting children and young people.
