Gareth Hedley - Central Ward
I was born in Alnwick but raised in Newcastle by my late mother. It was her work within local government that sparked my interest in politics. After gaining a quantity surveying degree at Northumbria University, I actually ended up in catering, as a chef. After working away for a few years I moved to Billingham in 2013, bringing up my two boys with my partner. I’m now a catering manager for a Local Education Trust.
Billingham has so much potential, and being a Town Councillor allows me to try and help our community get to where it deserves to be.
